Selecting your slat-type
Harvey Furnishings offers on-line ordering of Venetian blinds made from two different types of slat – the 'Firenze Basswood' range and the 'Wood Fantasy Composite' range.
Firenze Basswood Slats
Our Firenze Wooden Venetian Blind range is available in five beautiful colours – each made from premium grade Basswood. Basswood is an exceptional and renewable natural wood – specially selected for its stability, natural colouring and resistance to warping. Available in 50mm wide slats – Firenze Basswood Venetian blinds are lightweight, strong and durable. They are beautiful in the living areas of homes (such as living rooms, bedrooms and lounges). However, they are not recommended for high-moisture rooms (such as bathrooms or laundries) where the 'Wood Fantasy Composite' slat range comes into its own…
Wood Fantasy Composite Slats
Our Wood Fantasy Composite Venetian Blind slats are made from an engineered polymer – which is resistant to fading, cracking and peeling. Our Composite slat type allows you to have beautiful Venetian Blinds in areas of your home with humidity, higher temperatures and direct sunlight. Available in 50mm slats in both a smooth or oak grain-effect – Wood Fantasy Composite Venetian blinds provide a harder-wearing solution in a similar 'overall look' to timber.
