Chocolate Chip Cookies & Milk

Chocolate Chip Cookies & Milk

Who doesn’t love homemade, warm from the oven, chocolate chip cookies washed down with a glass of creamy cold milk? This simple 6-ingredient biscuit recipe will bring back memories of your grandmother's baking and is guaranteed to be a hit with the whole family.

185g Butter, softened
½ cup of icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/3 cup of custard powder
1 ½ cups of flour
¾ cup of chocolate chips (use the small chips rather than the buttons as they will be too big)

  1.  Pre-heat the oven to 170C.  Line a large backing tray with baking paper.
  2.  Beat the softened butter and icing sugar until creamy, then add in the vanilla and mix well.
  3.  Sift in the flour and custard powder and combine well.
  4.  Add in the chocolate chips and mix until evenly spread through the mixture.
  5.  Roll the mix into small balls and place onto the lined baking tray. Flatten slightly with the back of a fork.
  6.  Place in the oven for 15-20 minutes, not allowing the biscuits to brown.
  7.  Remove and cool slightly on a rack. Enjoy while still warm and gooey with an iced cold glass of milk!
