Getting the measurements right the first time saves you a return trip and a re-order — here's how to do it in a couple of minutes with just a tape measure.
What you'll need
A metal tape measure (not fabric, and not a phone app — they're rarely accurate enough for a proper fit). Measure twice before you order.
Measuring track width
If you already have a track: Width A - Measure its full width, end to end. That's the width you'll order to.
If you don't have a track yet: Width C - Measure across your window frame, then add extra to each side so the curtains can close well past the glass — we recommend 20cm on each side. For example, a 130cm wide window would need 40cm added in total, giving you a track width of 170cm.
Measuring drop (length)
If you already have a track: Drop B - Measure from the top of the track down to where you want the curtain to finish.
If you don't have a track yet: Drop D - Measure from the top of the window frame to the bottom edge instead.
Our readymade curtains come in four standard drops — 160cm, 205cm, 220cm or 240cm — so choose the length closest to your measurement and install your track to suit.
Pro tip: Where you've got the height to spare, mount your track at least 10cm above the window frame. It draws the eye upward and makes the whole window feel taller — a simple trick that lifts the whole room.
